I tried Need For Speed Underground 2 and it did not. I think its because i have a ps2 slim and benf used a ps2 phat. I found that my Burnout3 TakeDown Platinum has a NFS:U2 demo in which i replaced NFSUNDER.ELF in /NFSUNER. It resulted in a black screen with no disc error message so maybe it could work with a ps2 phat.
Anyways i got a copy of 007 agent udner fire and it worked like a charm.

Tried a new thing with Splinter Cell: CT. Swapped at startup and the game loads as normal. No red screen. But as soon as I try to access Online Multiplayer, the red screens comes up.
No guess thats rules out bad disc, bad swap ect. and can confirm that this game does not work with my pstwo V13.
The same with SOCOM II. Burned a new disc (sony 16x -R) at 2.4X, swapped 2sec after the playstation 2 logo disapears. Game loads perfectly with no problems or delays. But when I try to configure LAN the laser is already at the inner CD circle...and the red screens comes up.
Maybe there should be a PAL and a NTSC list and aswell what version of PS2 they have..?

I have a SCPH 70004 PS2 and I begin to suspect that slim models have some additional check.
My experience so far: I found a copy of NHL 2004 [SLES-51798], but the PAL version doesn't have the option to play online, so I've tried with both:
- Network Access Disk [SCES-52677]
- Bonus demo 9 (old) [SCED-53117]
with no results.
Particularly, the network access disk backup loads fine if I swap the disc soon after the Playstation 2 logo appears, so the backup is ok and the sensors are correctly pressed. If I launch the included game from the original DVD, swap the disc and then select the option to configure the network, the red screen appears. Similar results with the demo disc: the swap is not detected, but as soon as I launch a demo the PS2 recheck the disc.
I've also tried to double swap the discs, but the best I've reached is a black screen: have anyone successfully tried to double swap the discs? Does anyone know when the check is actually performed: before or after the ELF has been read?

I tried to double swap with same result: black screen!
The only result that gave me hope (check my previous post, a litlle up) was changing some .IRX files with older ones and with ulaunch 4.4 only (Hitman Blood Money game).
It looks like my PS2 5004 Fat/ PAL version starts up with some part of ulauch loaded after hiting for short the reset button.
Unfortunately nobody seems to want to help me with a modified uLaunch 4.4 so that the first part of the code (of 1,012,640 bytes) to be a repetitive comand to triger the real uLaunch finded after that value of bytes.

NHL 06 - Not working, Does additional check before launching network setup. Also on disk, NHL94.ELF has additional check before launch.
SOCOM 3 - Not working, Does additional check before launching network setup.

How do you check the UDF file system?
Edit - I checked the UDF filesystem with isobuster and it still shows the original file. The iso filesystem shows the new file.
I followed the directions on the game swap exactly. What could be the problem here?
I've tried this with Raw vs Smackdown 2006 & NHL 04 with no luck

Not sure where I went wrong, first I ripped the game using dvd decrypter (ISO mode), then I replaced the original ROCKY.elf with the uncompressed uLaunch.elf which was renamed to ROCKY.elf, after that I used the ESR disc patcher, after I finished patching the ISO file I burned it using the dvd decryptor.
I then used the original disc to load the demo until I got to the controller configuration screen and there I swapped the disc.
Once I pressed x I was returned to the browser where the disc shows up as a dvd video and does nothing.
I also tried it without a patch and just got the "insert original ps2 disc" my usb has all the necessary files and the light wasn't on (meaning it wasn't doing anything) I am using a slim but might try the fat later
BTW yes I am a n00b
