I tried the game swap with the slim I have and it would start FMCB but then fail to complete the load. The FMCB splash screen would show up and the screen would go black then the splash screen would come up again, apparently a repeating loop. Not sure why but thats the result i got doing the game swap with Madden 03.
I see this is discussed in this thread several times, and even recommended.

disc, if nothing else. Specular reflections of LASER beams are as potent
as the orginal.
PLEASE do not do this sort of thing. There are better ways of getting McBoot
onto a MC, and even that were not the case, it wouldn't be worth it to be
blinded in an eye just to get McBoot.

It is a misnomer for DVD-ROMs, but used nonetheless. Without going into
all the details of the origin of the term, devices are divided into two broad
classes: those for which one can read a single character of information
(byte) and those which can only transfer information in larger blocks.
Disc drives, and also DVD- and CD-ROM drives, have a minimum amount
of data which they can transfer per request. This amount of data is for
a real reason called a "sector" on a hard disc, and by extension/analogy
is also called a "sector" for DVD- and CD-ROM drives, though the latter
two do not actually have an organization into sectors like hard discs.
hey a good for those having splinter cell pandora tomorrow
just replace any of sc2a or sc2b elf
sc2a for singleplayer
sc2b for multiplayer
and at main screen swap disk and hit enter
and then click single or multiplayer version whichever u replaced
and there will be little disk check just put in your original ps2 disc and after 5 sec just put ur backup disc
and voila ulaunchelf loads and now install free mcboot nad enjOY
Hi, I was wondering if it would be too much to ask if you could change the green, yellow, and red stars to a simple W for working, U for unconfirmed, and N for not working? I'm colorblind so trying to find the difference between the green and yellow stars is an absolute nightmare. I've already tried MGS3 and AUF but neither of those worked, and I'm not sure if it's because I'm reading the stars incorrectly.
Hi, I have PS2 SCPH-50004 FAT and my games are: NFS: Underground 2, NFS: Most Wanted, SOCOM I, SOCOM II, WRC II Extreme and ops2m demo 46. Could I use anything as swap disk?
Could anybody help me? (via email or PM)
I know this is an old thread, but if anyone out there reads this I just want to let you know that NFL 2k3 works! Just tried it. I'll post further explanation upon request.
I was just able to use MGS 3 to launch ulaunchelf on my first try on fat ps2 so it definitely works.
FIFA 06 –
I manage to double swap trick FIFA 06 on slim SCPH-77004 PAL ps2. My ps2 does a disk check before running .ELF files.
altimit did with other game - on this thread page 17 post 169. (I can't post links)
This is not easy and i did after several tries.
I followed the tutorial and substitute both "NTGUI_60. ELF" and "NTGUI_EU. ELF" files.
Inset FIFA06 original disk and start ps2. Swap to burnt disk on game main menu.
(If music stops after the swap then you burnt FIFA disk isn't good.)
We need to launch the network configuration: Go play a online game. If you never played online, like me, choose the second option on the warning - Back/Return. Don't choose the first option with the burnt disk - it will do a disk check.
Now you see a screen with blue background and on the right-top corner of the screen it says 'EA SPORTS NATION'. Create new network config - on bottom.
The hardest its now.
You'll see ps2 laser somewhere near the outside disk edge before you launch network. Then it goes to the center and there back to outside.
The laser is going to center again while its moving from outside to center you must swap to ORIGINAL disk. Then the laser is going to outside again. While its moving you must swap to BURNT disk.
Laser: outside -> center -> outside -- swap to original disk --> center -- swap to burnt disk --> outside. You must swap while laser it moving or little after it stops, you must be quick in this part.
If you see a RSOD then o have taken to long to swap to original. If you see a black screen then you have taken to long to swap back to the burnt disk.
I did this 2 times and loaded uLaunchELF v4.42d.
i tried star wars battlefront 2 i dont know if it was a bad burn or what but when i switch out the game at the menu it freezes for a second plays a few seconds of music then goes in a loop i will try to burna nother wjen i get more dvds also does anyone know if you can use madden 2002 for this i looked through the disk and couldnt find a elf file so i gave up and ordered a swap magic this morning but if i can do this with madden 2002 please let me know
