PS2 Game Swap Trick - List Submissions

It seems as though everyone has been gone from this thread for some time. However i thought id try anyway.
I tried to use the 007 disc swap tutorial that i found on the site however.
The game then just goes to a black screen and hangs there when i start the second level.
I am sure that the game image is burnt correctly and that everything was done meticulously to the "T" as described.
I was wondering if the softmod on the ps2 sensors is a must in order to get the game swap to function properly?
Any help ou could be is greatly appreciated...

Smackdown VS RAW 2006 PAL did not work and preformed disk check after you click on edit network config. SLES53676 if this is any help?

Going to be trying FIFA 2008 however from what i looked it works flawlessly.

I havent been able to get FIFA 2008 to work. I get red screen however i think I've done it wrong.

got this trick working a few weeks ago on an australian v3?(not sure lol) scph30002 fat ps2, i used a demo disc that actually only had one demo on it, "The Mark Of Kri" SCED-51406, made in 2002 as far as i can tell. basically i replaced the only two .elf files on the disc, swapped at the main screen and BOOM!!! off it went so i'm not sure which particular .elf helped, but it got the job done.

oh and while i'm here i couldnt get either Rumble Roses (sles52535) or Spyro: a hero's tail PLATINUM (sles52569 ANZ/P) to work by replacing the sles files (they had no elfs)

I can't seem to get this to work at all, can you tell me the details of this? Thanks

When I tried it, I get a red screen regardless of when I swap the disk. =/

(V15): got the ?/Disc icon when I believe 2/3 'sensors' where covered (back one by the tray hinge and front one by the lid clasp), covered the '3rd' by the disc stopper (upper right ~1o'clock) and now getting the purple/red 'Please insert a playstation 2 disc...' Using TDK x16 DVD-R, going to try insuring front lid clasp 'sensor' is depressed and better media tomorrow

Used DVD Decrypter to Rip/Burn, no patching on original disc, tried using Memento to try again and failed at ~98%

Have tried ~6-7x now

Update:
Tried playing the game with the burned disc swapped at main menu, and it's playing fine.... hrmn, always notice the disc is re-reading TOC/Boot area when trying the camo download option on this disc

I can also confirm that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 works.

Instructions:
Replace SLUS_201.99 file in DEMO folder
Burn to disc
Boot original disc
Go to Settings* on the main menu and select Dave Mira BMX** demo
Swap disc when menu appears asking if you want to load demo
Hit yes

*On my copy of the game (NTSC-U/C "Greatest Hits" version) there is no "Settings" in the menu instead it is "Options"
** The demo on mine is of a different game, but it's the last item in the options menu.

Hey, I saw this thread and I had a question about the games this trick works with.

Will this trick work with all games that use the internet and if so would Marvel Ultimate Alliance work? If anyone has the game could they try it for me? It's the only game I have that uses the internet and I don't know how the trick works.

it can work with any game it depends mostly on your ps2 version if itll work just by swapping at menu and loading something else mine is scph50003 v10 and it performs disk checks when loading any new file so u need to swap at menu and again after menu
couldnt get ULE to work (tho i got past security but only got black screen maybe should try diff ver) so got cogswap to work with hitman 2 by changing the playmov file
having trouble getting ULE v 4.12 CD running with cogswap cuz my ps2 doesnt want to read the stupid disks right and i get to a black screen will try to get better quality ones
the ule 4.12 dvd version doesnt want to run although it reads the disk fine
tried ulev 4.37 DVD version and got a black screen
will continue trying
if it gives u red screen after menu u need to swap disks again after the menu
burn speed is everything also
best to burn at 4x whatever u are burning

IF UR GETTING RED SCREEN U AINT DOING IT RIGHT its possible on any system

just to say how i got cogswap running(u get ULE running the same way)
do everything EXACTLY as described in the tutorial
if ur with a newer version ps2 ull probably have more security checks implementd in the system so
keep ur eye on the laser while loading what u want with the original disk and remember the time of the movements
on hitman 2 i swap at menu load hitman2 mov
laser stays at middle of disk for some time
goes down as if to verify (it doesnt at this time)
goes back up and reads there again
goes back down (this is when u swap to original to get past security)

this can be done on any machine with any reasonable elf file and program u want to run

As someone mentioned long time before, 007 from Russia with love includes NFS demo only on US (NTSC) discs... on EU (PAL) discs NFS demo is not included. It would be nice if someone could update or mention this on offical fremcboot website, so the list of games reported to work would be updated.

Now one noobish question... I plan to install FMCB using PS2 Game swap trick method. Installation guide on freemcboot website doesn't say if it is necessary to block sensors on PS2 slim? So is it necessary to block them?

I don't know if I'm looking in the wrong place or not... But... Fifa soccer 2009, it doesn't even have a .elf file in the whole disk! I'm looking through it right now, for the 10th time today and i need some help to know if anyone can try this game for me. I just got my ps2 modded, and this is the only game that came with it since the guy that gave it to me just didn't want it anymore...

however it does have a cnf file.. could i replace that instead?
