PS2 Game Swap Trick - List Submissions

Hi there i have a scph 50004 fat ps2 pal version , a blue version if this might be the problem. I have read thru the entire post and stil none the wiser. I have tried every game listed even 007 agent under fire used three different makes of dvd , get the insert blah blah blah every time. it seems as if it wants to launch uLaunch but then dvd imediatly slows down and ..... . I use uLaunch v4.40 and McBoot v1.8 imgburn at 4x write speed on a lg blueray drive. I realy dont know what to try next any help will be greatly apreciated.



Finally got my 50004 to trigger ulaunch by using v4.11 but now the screen will go black and after about 10 sec it says PLAY HALTED DUE TO MALFUNCTION. ??????
Is this a region related issue or what? pllzzzz HELP im running out of ideas.

I can confirm that FIFA 08 PAL worked perfectly for the swap trick. Just swap at the main menu then press SQUARE to get online. It will moan about not finding the net configuration on your MC then it will boot the network config app. Click X until it says Add/Edit and uLaunch will appear.

I initially tried using the platinum version which didn't work then I reverted to the standard PAL retail release. You can see that the latter contains two possible files to be patched:

NTGUI_60 [DOT] ELF
NTGUI_EU [DOT] ELF

I patched both, and it worked flawlessly. The PAL platinum contained just the NTGUI_EU file.

Just wanted say battlefront 2 indeed works using the steps provided at sksapps.

i just used this method on a 30001r system with fliptop lid to boot ule and install fmcb less than a week ago.

Recently tried to mod my 70001 slim PS2 with two games.

Replaced NTGUI
Didn't work.

Mortal Kombat Deception - NTSC SLUS 20881
Replaced A51's ELF
Didn't work either.

Im curious as to what steps you used for bf2 and what happened? ive heard of it not work for other, seemed to work great for me.

Created an ISO with DVD Decrypter, changed NTGUI's ELF size with Apache, replaced it with the renamed uncompressed uLaunchELF, burned the edited ISO onto a DVD-R, ran the origninal Battlefront 2 disc, got to the main menu, swapped, went to Multiplayer > LAN > Add/Edit, screen went black for a few seconds, then red screen.

well that looks about right and it appears its at least trying to boot. i might just be simple case of not working on newer/slim systems.

i have a 79001 slim ill give it a try on later and see if it has similar results

Just to confirm that Battlefield 2 Modern Combat does not work. Repeat, does not work . When using the method provided, you get a red screen asking "Please insert PS or PS2 game."

I was going to stop by GameStop and pick up a copy of Agent Under Fire, but I didn't bother asking if it was greatest hits or not, does that matter?

Just got my v15 PStwo, it came with Need for speed underground 2 (Platinum edition) (SLES-52725/P)
Tried and it's performing disk checks on loading.
