Some threads are open for free discussion and questions, but this is NOT one of them.

Always pay attention to the first post of a thread, and if that one sets down specific rules of topic boundaries and purpose of the thread, then you should obey those rules.

Now simply use your browser to back OUT of this thread into the main FMCB forum, and there use the "New Thread" command at the bottom of the thread list to create your own thread, where you (being its original poster) can decide the topic.

Hey guys, how they hangin?

I need confirmation on NHL 2004. I went out and picked it up today to try the swap trick with a modded ISO and she wont boot uLaunchELF.

I have seen people confirm this game is working. One other said it wasn't. I have tried 2 different uLaunchELF uncompressed elf's and every time I get an RSOD. My media is fine as I loaded a game on the backup disc and it worked fine, all the way into 2nd Period. No problem with my media.

It seems like the PS2 checks the media again when I try to launch this elf. Can anyone verify this? Is this another game that will only boot with CogSwapLoader?

Any info will be much appreciated. 007 AUF seems impossible to locate around here. It seems people are having great success with Tony Hawk 3, I can get that one for sure.

NHL 2004 does not work. I tried uLaunchELF 4.12 and 4.40 as well as CogSwapLoader. No dice. I have a V7. We need someone else to test this, it's on the list of working games. Unconfirmed but on the list nonetheless. I think it needs to be removed. Will test THPS 3 in about 30 mins.

Couldn't get THPS 3, I picked up Rachet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal as supposedly it works. It doesn't. Let me be the first to point this out to people, these swaps are quite obviously system specific. The person who got R&C to work was using a 30001R. I am using a 39001. I believe it is not working because of this.

Anyone have anything to add? Something I missed?

If anyone can confirm on Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow game if it works, i see that this game hase 2 files .elf one SC2A.ELF and one SC2B.ELF in main folder. I am rly newbe on this so please help :d

I just wanted to confirm that Hitman 2: Silent Assassin worked like a charm for me. Simply replace PLAYMOV.ELF, load up the game, select to play Hitman 2, go to Extra Movies in the main menu, then swap the disk and launch the Hitman 2 trailer. Loaded with no problems

Also...just another side note...used my psp instead of a usb drive to install FMCB with, so if you (like me) couldn't find your extra usb drives you have another alternative (modded PSP Fat with 5.00 m33).

Also, I'm on PS2 30001R.

confirming that the "Super Swap" method mentioned earlier does work...

model 79001, used demo disc #102. Timing is extremely strict.

Game: Metal Gear Solid 3 (PAL)

Model: SCPH-50004 (PAL)

Having neither a network adapter nor a memory card (! - a friend just gave me his old phat ps2 for a few days to experiment) the only game I had available was MGS3 to see if I could start ulaunchelf from the Special menu, if I managed it, I would go out immediately and get a card. :P

Didn't work I got the red screen...

I did everything according to here and here and tried with:

Verbatim +R unpatched burnt at 2x

Sony +R patched with Memento burnt at 2x
Maxell -R patched burnt at 1x

(Having read here that the iso's should be patched. It was too late and I had already burnt those last two when I read dlanor's post stating that this patching is for esr only.)

I tried an unpatched +R too though, and it again didn't work, so I report complete failure from my part!

Try IMGBurn with the AWS-(Burn-)Speed-Setting, or set the 'mid-speed' manually.
Don't burn so utterly slow.
It will produce mure errors on high-quality-media, such as verbatim.

Since swap worked on first try on PS2 V4"fat" just see if you can borrow one to use from a friend. I forgot that had the old version in storage. im currently using the memory car on the slim PS2 now and it works.

I don't know if the PAL version makes that much of a difference, but burning at that speed is going to hurt the data rather help it. Since then I have let a friend use MGS3: Snake Eater on his PS2 fat didn't get his model# but he has a the exploit on the memory card.

Try burning at higher speeds. Hope that helps.
