PS2 Game Swap Trick - List Submissions

I got the swap trick to work with Need For Speed Underground 2 by replacing NTGUI.ELF in the NETGUI folder. Swapped disc at main menu, selected Online, then Add/Edit.

I did the swap trick earlier this year (January actually) to install uLe w/ FMCB 1.8b on my PS2 and it worked extremely well.

Game - 007: Agent Under Fire (Gamestop has/had it for $3.99 used)


Replaced DRIVING.ELF with UlaunchELF. Loaded up a mission you drove in and instead uLe kicked in and installed FMCB with no problems whatsoever.


Media - Maxell DVD-R burned at lowest speed possible.

agent under fire swap also worked for me on a v15 scph-77001.

before I tried agent underfire I attempted to do it with madden 07, unfortunately I could not get it to boot ulaunch, even tried burning it twice.

It works perfectly on a 39001 "fat" ps2, using FIFA 2008 by replacing "NETGUI_NA.ELF" file placed on DVD root, the process needed is:

-Select "Online Mode" from the main menu (it's recommended to have a saved profile for the game on Memory card)
-Select "Add/Edit" option (configure a new account and then go to the "Add" option again)
-The screen goes to black & then ulaunchelf appears!

When do you swap the discs, is there any specific point or doesnt it matter when?

I'm testing some games not on the list

- Socom 1 ( NTGUI.ELF , swap at menu , go to ONLINE-EDIT CONFIGURATION ...then blackscreen and " Please insert Playstation Disc " ) Did i do it wrong or it just doesn't work ? Socom 2 and 3 do work with a similar method

- Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow has SC2A.ELF and SC2B.ELF inside , ingame a 1P mode and online mode . I guess each ELF launches one of them , but which should i replace. Can i do both ?

I only try two times but on both the swaping was made at the main menu of the game .

hi guys, I need some help with the swap trick.

I have a slime v16 PS2.

I use a original Demo disc #077 SCUS_97248 to make an ISO.

I read the instructions carefully many times and I chose 'Road Kill' in the demo disc to launch the uLaunchELF.

Make ISO w/ IMGBurn, modified the size of the original size of the elf with the uncompressed BOOT.ELF w/Apache, update the selected ELF (HUNTER.ELF), & burn the ISO w/IMGBurn to TDK DVD+R w/8x.

BTW: I used the FMCB v1.8, ESR v0.9b in the usb.

However, when I'm at the main menu of the game, I swap the disc then chose "multiplayer' or 'single' mode & close the PS2 lid and load the backup disc while my USB formated w/FAT32 in the console.

Then it's said:"Please enter a Playstation 2 format disc..."

I tried several times already, but it won't launch the uLaunchELF.

Any ideas?
