007 Agent Under Fire U.S. NTSC works for me on my Ps2 39001
Also, Socom 1 Doesn't work. Red disc screen.
Swap Trick on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. SLUS 20013GH NTSC U/C.
Like all users who mentioned this game I expected the Dave Mira BMX demo to be included but was surprised to see that the game I have instead has the Shaun Palmer Demo when I go to the options on the main menu.
I still made ISO of original game using ImgBurn and FujiFilm DVD-R. Used Apache 1.1 to change the TOC of the SLUS_201.99 in the ISO. Replaced the SLUS_201.99 file within the ISO with uncompressed BOOT.ELF using Apache, etc., etc.
But UNSUCCESSFULLY in triggering uLaunchELF v4.40 - Maybe its cause the demo I have on my game is Shaun Palmer Demo ............. and NOT Dave Mira BMX demo. Fellow User gijed mentioned this Demo difference on 02-28-2010 but he had Shaun Palmer Demo SLES_504.00 on a PAL version that did not work, whereas I have tried it with a Shaun Palmer Demo SLUS_201.99 on a NTSC that did not work.
Tried with Ratchet Deadlocked SCUS 97465 NTSC U/C. using ImgBurn and FujiFilm DVD-R. - NTGUI.ELF (in NETGUI folder)
selected MULTIPLAYER, selected ONLINE PLAY, selected NETWORK SETUP, etc. but my PS2 fat model SCPH 39001, PS2 Version - V7, has no network adapter installed so the game/system does additional checking before launching network setup and it cancels my attempts to go any further down that road. Result - UNSUCCESSFULLY
Funny thing is guys - I went to 2 of the biggest game stores I could think of close by and in walking distance - I live in the city and I gave myself an hour for this treasure hunt - to find either 007 Agent Under Fire or AR MAX EVO.
One clerk even said he would take a few minutes to search downstairs in his half-sorted older stuff to look for those 2 items, second hand or not I did not care which. But it proved futile and my 14 year old and I walked out, yet again, empty handed.
Now here is where it gets totally ABSURD.
Before we left, while still rummaging through the second stores PS2 stock, my son said something about going to the pawn shop - it was after all, only a block or so further, on our way back home. Now get this, small store, about the size of a large bedroom.
Electronics, musical instruments, some video game material, etc., etc. Fine my kid knew there were a few games here for his PSP, he had been there before. So I did find 3 or 4 small stacks of PS2 games which I started examining. We were in the store not 5 minutes and I found a 007 Agent Under Fire game. Smiling I turned to him and proudly showed it off, he looked happy but I know he was not as surprised as I was to have found it.
Now for the sake of being there I kept flipping through the PS2 titles and wham, another 007 Agent Under Fire game. My son even found a third and shortly thereafter I had found a fourth. I still think it strange. They are all in the pawn shops guys now go get them there ! I was so floored by finding 4 of them, the shop only had about 100 PS2 games afterall, that I did not even bother looking for more.
Now, I will test it out tomorrow and give you an update on that soon enough. So people, head for the pawn shops to find the gems...![]()

OH MY GOD
http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/swap.php
http://freemcboot.info/swap.php
WHICH IS IT. Obviously the second one is the one that you guys are updating. But a google search for fmcb brings up the first one!! Anyone who doesn't know about this forum or is a noob in general (me before i knew about this forum lol) would simply google fmcb and follow the instructions on the first good looking link (what i did and how i installed it...).
Who exactly hosts the second one? He should update it or change the website to a redirect thingy to the more updated one.
Anyways, what I was going to say before I noticed that the 2 tabs I had open were not identical...
Um, I think the fmcb swap page should have more info like what version of ule was used, as I understand that the earlier versions were much smaller than the newer ones, and I read somewhere on some random forum that size affects it somehow.
Also the model of ps2 would probably help too.
If the 2 above things mostly don't matter, maybe put a note somewhere saying 'don't worry, ___ doesn't matter'
And somewhere else put a 'last updated' so someone who stumbles upon it can follow it with more confidence.
If you really wanna go all out, put references for those that are confirmed to work or not work or etc =D
I used METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER to boot ulaunchelf and install freemcboot. my friend had the game laying around, we tried it and presto!.
So i told my other friend to go buy a copy and it didn't work for him. i dont know what version his PS2 is or the game.
Then he went back to the game store and got 007 AGENT UNDER FIRE and i'm sure it will work when he gets around to trying that.
Metal Gear Solid 3 obviously should be orange on the list. Only try it of you have it laying around... it might work. But if people are going to read that list and GO OUT AND BUY a game to do the swap trick with
MGS3 Should not be green on the list. it's been said enough times now. Everybody who hasn't gotten it to work got something else to work. They're not doing anything wrong. The game should be orange.
oh yeah, my first post. well... hi everybody.
007: Agent Under Fire SLUS 20265 NTSC U/C. using ImgBurn and FujiFilm DVD-R.
Replaced DRIVING.ELF
Modification(s) - UlaunchElf 4.40/Free MC Boot 1.8b Noobie_Package
Swapped at main menu (picture of a car) on level 2 -
I made a save after completing level one yesterday and today I loaded that saved game and level 2 kicked in.
Swapped at main menu (picture of a car) on level 2 - after that I let the woman talk about the 2nd level a bit then she stopped a few seconds then started to talk some more and that is when I pressed X, and ulaunchELF started right up.
Free McBoot (FMCB) was installed SUCCESSFULLY. Initially I had run into a snag, message came up saying USBD.IRX and USBHDFSD.IRX, not found in INSTALL/MODULES but after trying to figure out that problem I double-checked my USB stick on my PC and they were definitely in that folder. My problem was, ehheeemmmm, I had another folder in the root of my USB stick with 3 files in it and one of them was another BOOT.ELF file which I had created from an earlier attempt at installing FMCB but without the Noobie_Package. I deleted that directory with those 3 files, that left the Noobie_Package as the only thing on my USB stick then I went back to the PS2 and plugged it in, problem solved, no more errors after that. A conflict of interest must have been the issue initially.
I had also put in a DVDELF.BIN file in the INSTALL/INJECT directory before the install. I got me BxEXEC-DVDPLAYER.zip, unpacked it and renamed that directory to BAEXEC-DVDPLAYER cause I live in Canada. I eventually went back using uLaunchELF to my Memory-Card where (FMCB) was installed and went into the BAEXEC-SYSTEM directory and copied osdmain.elf and pasted it into my USB stick. I brought it to my PC again and copied it into the BAEXEC-DVDPLAYER folder I had unpacked earlier, then I renamed the osdmain.elf to dvdplayer.elf - then copied the entire BAEXEC-DVDPLAYER folder to the USB stick and went back to the PS2 and plugged it in. From uLaunchELF I copied BAEXEC-DVDPLAYER and pasted it into the Memory-Card where (FMCB) is and I pasted it into the root. Now when my PS2 is powered-up I go to the option Version by pressing on triangle and I can see the DVD Player version was updated to 4.32E
Now here is a question for someone in the know - I can understand that, from the example of a youtube video of GravityBomberMan http://www.youtube.com/user/GravityB.../2/p67tpjbKaPk his version is 4.32U not the same as mine but what I wonder at is the duplication of files since now my osdmain.elf file is essentially identical to my dvdplayer.elf. Whereas GravityBomberMan deleted his entire BAEXEC-SYSTEM directory thereafter I left mine as is since I have way more than the 3 files he had in his - probably cause I used the FMCB Noobie_Package and he did not and cause I used the Multi version Install and he did not.
But now what ? Do I leave osdmain.elf alone ? Does it matter at all except for the used up space on my MC ?
hi im a total newbie here anyone can enlighten about finding elf file on a ps2 disc? i wanna try it on tokyo extreme racing 3...
There is a list of compatible games because they've been proven to work. As far as I know, other games do not have the same capacity. So it is in your best interest to simply find one of the working games rather than waste time, money (because DVD-R's do cost it) and energy on a game you don't know will or won't work.
The only reason I'm telling you this is because not all games have a big enough TOC to work with the swap trick. The games that have been mentioned as working work because they do.

Got my memory card. Thanks DJ!
Tried Madden 2004 on SCPH-39001/N fat. With NTGUI.ELF file. Did swap method by removing the external shell. At Press start button screen then "Game Modes" on main menu. Next "Play Online". Then selected "New/Edit" then don't save to memory card, screen went black for a few seconds then red insert disc screen. tried it 4 times. burned madden worked but uLaunchelf did not come up. btw it is NTSC.
Wanted to add I tried the same burned Madden 04 on pcsx emu on my laptop just to see if the uLaunchelf would come up and it did, so since my burned game works in the PS2 and ulaunch comes up in emu, what does that mean for the PS2 not working with uLaunchelf, protection check issue?
