Problems installing FreeMCboot through hdd
Problems installing FreeMCboot through hdd –

I've been trying to using the HDloader guide on the freemcboot site) with a PAL HDLoader Advance 3.0 disc, official sony HDD adapter and a 140 gb IDE disc.
The iso goes on the hdd just fine with winhiip, and the HDloader reads it fine. Upon loading the iso(with usb inserted) it gives me a black screen. I have already tried the Mode 3 fix, didn't do anything.
Does anyone know how to fix this or is there a better way to install freemcboot with HDloader.
PS2 model is 39004

i think hd advance will boot \HDADVANCE\HDADVANCE.ELF off usb stick when it's starting up. but i did not test this personally, so treat it as unverified rumor.
other than that, try booting uLE iso from hd advance without usb devices inserted - that worked for me.
