[SOLVED] Problems with HDLoader install method
[SOLVED] Problems with HDLoader install method –
I have a V9/V10 (fat) PS2.
I have a retail HDLoader disc, and I'm using a 120GB hard drive, if it matters.
I'm having trouble with the HDLoader install described here...
I'm stuck at this step...
2) Run the uLaunchELF program from the Games List
I can't get the uLaunchELF ISO to run. When I boot with my HDLoader disc and try to run uLaunch from my hard drive, I get a black screen.
I've used Winhiip in the past to load my games to the hard drive (attached to my PC) so I'm pretty sure that I did everything correctly.
I'm using the ISO linked from the instructoni page above,
uLE 20v4.38 boot CD ISO.zip (unzipped, of course).
Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Do I need to format my PS2 harddrive before putting uLaunchELF on it?
Is there anything special I need to do with the "Image Settings" after I install it with WinHiip?

Try enabling Mode 3 (Kill HDL) from the games list by pressing SELECT on uLaunchELF.
If that still doesnt work, you can try the attached image file, just unrar it and install with Winhiip and enable mode 3.
It has 2 HD Loaders and uLaunchELF, but i dont know the version offhand, but should work for the purpose of installing FMCB.

Should I install it as a CD image or a DVD image with WinHiip, or doesn't it matter?
EDIT: Nevermind. I installed it as a CD image and it worked perfectly. Thanks for your help.
