Problems booting FMCB 1.7 using burned CD

Ok, so i followed the tutorial here: http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials...lling_1.7.html and attempted to load the CD using my AR Max(the one with the Media Player)

I boot up AR, load up media player, than put in my CD. It then says something like "Checking CD Format" and then just leaves me hanging at that random swirly background screen(not a great description, I know)

I have tried taking out and putting the CD back in multiple times, but to no avail, it fails to recognize my CD

I am using a slim ps2....7000x I believe, and trying to install this on a normal Sony 8MB MC...but that doesn't help if it won't recognize the CD

Does anyone know what my problem is?

I would use that, except none of my USB devices work with AR...i've tried 3, plus my PSP, and none of them worked...that's why I am trying to use the CD Method, since action replay is all I have, no SwapMagic, No Codebreakers, and no CogSwap/Independance

strange that the PSP doesn't work since many others says it does.

any of your friends have usb thumb drives? borrow some and try them out. Law of averages says something's got to work.

well, i could always try my PSP again...didn't help that i was using my MEM stick that has all my hacked homebrew and PSX games....all that showed up at the time were random .BIN files

course, the only other mem stick i have is my 512MB that i use with my Pandora's Bat

as long as the memory stick is formatted to FAT32, you are OK. place the psp in USB mode and on your computer, open 'My Computer' and right click on the PSP's drive letter and select poperties. this will tell you what file system it is.

well, looks like My Pandora's MEmory Stick is FAT. but my 4GB is Fat32...alright, backing up my files and trying it

ok, i went in, loaded up AR, and went into Max Media Player, Plug in My PSP, and Free_MCBOOT.ELF shows up

at this point I'm jumping for joy, so I click Play, and the screen fade to black

and STAYS BLACK

so, i'm on to try FCEU next

FCEU doesn't even show up, on to the swapmagic alternative method

Ok, none of these worked, so Now I have no idea what i am doing wrong, especially since you said that many have said that the PSP works with FMCB

my Ps2 version=SCPH70012

if anyone can help me that would be much appreciated
