problem installing fmcb –

i have no money to spend on a flip top case, swap magic, or anything else at all. i have a bunch of blank dvds and a burner. no blank cds or the money to buy them. i do have AR MAX but it is not EVO and therefore no MAX Media Player. Also, it detects my flash drives, but always displays them as empty and claims that they are full. Not sure of the issue there. I'm hoping someone can tell me a way to burn a dvd that will install FMCB to my mem card that is 100% guaranteed to work, been trying a million different things over the past few days, i have NERO 10, and IMGBURN. my dvds are memorex DVD+R, they read ok when i burn them, but then i get a "play halted due to malfunction" msg on my ps2. it has a fat ps2, i have the network adapter, but no hdd. id really appreciate if someone can give me a guaranteed way to install FMCB.

by the way, my fat ps2 is SCPH-50001, browser is 1.40, cd player is 2.00, ps driver is 1.11, and dvd player is 3.00U

perhaps you should consider getting a usb memcard adapter for ps2 memcards and installing FMCB with ps3mcatool.
that could be least-hassle option. and the adapter is not that expensive anyway (but there are a lot of fakes that do not work correctly).

i recently lost my job tho, and i have a daughter to support. i cant afford ANY extra money. i dont understand why my flashdrives are registering as full in AR Max. even when they are fresh formatted and completely empty, it wont even allow me to move system data to it, which is hella small. i tried a pny 8gb flash drive, and a really generic usb card reader with a 2gb sandisk SD. i am getting an external hd in a few days from a friend. how would i be able to do it with that? if i were to install linux on it could i some how do it that way?

What method have you tried?
Have you an retail PSX game? (not PS2-game)
If yes, have you tried with the "Title.db" from link below??
AR Max - PS1 Exploit
Cause with the "fat" one is the "tiltle.db" the easiest way with AR MAX non EVO....

well I did try that, problem is that ar max says my flash drive has no free space, and yet detects nothing on it. tried to move a save to it just to test, says it doesn't have enough space. ive tried several different storage devices, and they all say Space free = 0/4194303 Kb and theyre all different sizes...

OK, how and which format did you use for your flash drives??

i used disk management within win7, and tried FAT and FAT32. even downloading a program that allowed partitioning of flash drives to see if putting the files on a "smaller" drive would work. ive had no success. i found a way i could do it tho, but because i only have one pc and one ethernet cable, i need to figure out how to connect my pc to my router by usb. in device manager it says usb networking device but cant find a driver...i have a netgear cgd24g, and the usb thing on the router looks like the tip of a printer cable. my other option would be if its possible to share the internet connection of my pc with my ps2 with a phone cord. my network adapter has both ports.

now ive hit a really weird problem, trying to use exploit sender, runs just fine on my windows 8 consumer preview, but I cant get it to run in win7. i have to disconnect the pc with win8 beta in order to connect ps2 to the net...so i thought i had found a solution, and now im stuck. unless i magically get enough money for another Ethernet cable
