I have done an install for a friend ever since djflexmaster79 installed mine for me (ty again!), but I do think it takes confidence & reputation to become a reliable installer. Also knowing the little tricks of fmcboot (background changes) would be good too.
Naturally, I'll volunteer my services too. I've seen youtube videos on memory card -- memory card installs...and that's all there is to it. I think. Of course console rev and what homebrew applications the user wants is important too.

I think this thread has out lived its usefulness. it was started ages ago for a pol on a specific user who wanted to be an installer but didnt meet the requirements.
