Playinig Multi-Disc Backup PSX Games on Modded PS2
Playinig Multi-Disc Backup PSX Games on Modded PS2 –
05-12-2012,04:42 PM
Recently I have created backup discs of the game Fear Effect for PSone. I have also modded my ps2 slim by blocking all the sensors and using free mcboot from my memory card. I am able to launch and play through the entire first disc of this game, yet confused on how to make the modded ps2 register the disc swap to continue on disc 2.
Is there any method to allow the next disc to start without removing the sensors? If this is not possible, is there a way to place this 4-disc game onto a single DVD and allow continuous play? Or is there a module out there that will allow me to place all the image files onto a flash drive and continue beyond disc one?
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If you are using ESR then you don't need the sensors blocked and the game will notice the lid open correctly.

I would like to note that Fear Effect is composed of four CD-Rs, not DVDs. After looking at the ESR support site, they claim this method only works for DVDs - and CDs are not supported.
Any methods that work for CDs AND allow me to continue to keep my sensors blocked?
Thanks again for the response!

Ah.
Many of my internet searches came up rather dry and tend to post forum threads as a last resort. I may trash the entire idea and see if I can have more luck by using a PSone emulator on the modded xbox. However if there are any further suggestions or thoughts, I'd be more than willing to try.
Thanks again for the response.
