If you patched them to work with ESR, which was made to work with Free McBoot, then just stick one in and run the ESR app.

If you didnt, then go patch them. Or do the old swap trick using SwapMagic or Cogswap.
All i want to do is to play my backup games
Then im baffeled as to why all those other posts about getting all the other stuff that had nothng to do with running a backup disc.

Does swapmagic or cogswap require a retail cd?

A retail PS2 Game disc, yes....cogswap is only available as an ELF. Just use the discs you ripped your ISO's from as the TOC disc

You boot the app cogswap or swapmagic, stick in a retail PS2 game disc, let it read the disc's TOC, then swap trick it in, but dont press eject for the swap.

There are tutorials at sksapps.com on how to swap.

No. Once they're finalized, there is no going back.

Post #2. But if for some reason you don't have the original anymore, or they are really scratched up, you can rip the game off of the backup, patch them, and burn them.

This method does work. I had to do this recently.
