The ulaunch DVD has to be thats size or it wont work,the "programs" are tiny,dont worry about that,FREE_MCBOOT.ELF is only 275kb thats whats going on your usb flash/pen drive also make a folder called BOOT on there and put a ulaunch.ELF in there renamed to BOOT.ELF..so the root of your usb is..FREE_MCBOOT.ELF,BOOT(folder)/BOOT.ELF

Ok, the Ulaunch DVD SEEMS to have worked. I got to a place where the generic Ulaunche background is displayed. IS there anything i should look for? Like, the DVD booted, so i'm assuming it works. Anything that might say otherwise? I'm about to get a USB drive if it worked, so what brand/type/capacity would be good?

well if you've got to the ulaunch main screen all you need to do now is run FREE_MCBOOT.ELF from the USB flash/pen drive (a PSP should work too),use the File Browser (O=select X=cancel) goto MASS and run FREE_MCBOOT.ELF,place the mem card you want FMCB in slot 1,hit select to format it,then install FMCB,when its done,choose the option to boot the elf file it should take you back to ulaunch,you can then check that you have the BOOT.ELF(renamed ulaunch) in the BOOT folder,after all this you can then stick this new FMCB mem card in the other PS2 and see if it boots,just stick whatever elf files on your flash/pen/PSP drive (ESR elfs) and copy them to the BOOT folder on m0(mem card slot 1) ((right shoulder button to copy),you should be up and running now.

NOTE: when you boot back to ulaunch from the FMCB install make sure to copy the ulaunch.elf(renamed to BOOT.ELF) to the boot folder on mem card 1 if its not there,which it should be.

Whoa, a PSP will work too? AWSOME. Do i need an EMPTY mem stick, or will any do? Also, after i have the mem card with FMCB and ESR on it, i wont need the files on my PSP/USB right? I'm considering whether to to just go out and buy a cheap A-Data USB pendrive or use my PSP.

Yeah,once you've got the files on the mem card you dont need them on whatever you used (mem stick/pen/flash/psp) anymore, note though that not all mem/flash/pen drives are compatible with the PS2,Ive got 2 here,1 is a 1gb kingston data traveler and it doesnt work the other is a very cheap Sumvision 1gb and it works a treat!
