Ok, basically i borrowed my cousin's modded PS2 to install Free Mcboot 1.5 and ESR onto my UNMODDED V5 Ps2.
As theres no tutorial for this, i'm not sure what i'm supposed to do. Just tell me, is it possible with this equipment?
Slim line PS2 Modchipped with Infinity chip V. 1.38 (MAY BE CLONE, IDK)
Phat PS2 50010
Any files i might need.
DvD Burner and DVDs
Two mem cards (8 mb sony)
I would really just like to know if its possible for me to get FMCB using this stuff (i also can get a USB drive, and will, soon, but i want to know if i can do it before getting one), along with ESR. IF i CAN, i would REALLY appreciate either a detailed step by step tutorial on getting to UlaunchElF (from there, i know what to do), or someone with MSN so i can chat with them to help me.
Thanks in ADVANCE!

I havent got a slim PS2 and the method to get ulaunch running on a slim differs from a fat, your best bet is to go look in the ulaunch part of the forums and find out how to get ulaunch on a modded slim there, once you've done that its just a matter of installing FMCB to 1 of your mem cards and putting that in the other PS2.
Just had a quick look and I think you can run ulaunch from a cd on a modded slim, theres a guide here http://sksapps.com/index.php?page=bootelf.html
Hope that does the trick for you..

So all i gotta do is burn that to a DVD and run it? And if i can, that means i should get that USB drive right?

Um....is the file SUPPOSED to be 1.19 gigs? That seems rather huge for a homebrew program.....

Wouldnt worry about the hdd just yet,You didnt say if you had a USB flash/pen drive? your gonna need 1 thats compatible with the ps2 to run the FREE_MCBOOT.ELF of.
It has to be over 1gig or it wont get recognised as a dvd,its just padded out so its the right size.

It has dummies, so the probability of the ps2 not reading the disc is lower, some units need the dvd to have at least 1.2 GBytes recorded

Ya, i was talking about the pen-drive. I dont intend to get a HDD (unless my lazer starts to break), and i'm intending to play DVD-R imports.
So, is it normal for the program to be that big?
