Hello everyone! Recently ran in to problem i never knew about. I never did try installing any emulators on to ps2, but just as i did turned out nothing works. Problem is the following, i have ps2 slim with fmcb 1.8 i copied my emulators and rom on to usb flash drive like in many videos except nearly every second emulator stops functioning after 2 seconds. I tried snes9x at first works ok loads the game shows the game screen for sec than freezes. Tried Pgen but it keeps freezing at loading screen. No nes emulator works at all. at first i thought there was something wrong with usb key, so copied sne9x and one rom to memory card ran there via ulaunchelf again same thing loads the rom shows the game screen for 2 seconds than black screen appears and freezes. And the emulator stops functioning too. What could be the problem?
Wow, that is a problem. Are you sure the computer was finished writing the emus to the usb stick? Before you take it out of the computer, right click on it, and hit safely remove before you take it out. Some emus work better with a disk in the drive, any valid ps2 disk, although most should work fine without it. Have tried making an ESR disk with your emus on it? Certainly not very convenient but if it works it might help to figure out were the problem is.
Well i doubt that it has anything to do with incomplete data transfer to usb, since i don't rip the stick out immediately after copy. The problem is that my disc drive laser isn't working anymore and that's why i use usb flash. The problem is that pgen freezes at loading screen, snes one second later after rom loaded, and no nes emulator worked at all. I wonder if burned Cd/DVD drive has anything to do with it?
