My friend wants me to install Free McBoot for him. My question is do I do normal install or Multi-Install?

If I did normal install on my PS2, does that mean the Free McBoot will not work on his PS2, so I should do a multi-install in case PS2 versions are different?

    Hello,
I think your best option is to install the multiboot version, and when he is back on his own PS2 with FreeMCBoot running, he can do another normal install.

To me, no need for a normal install, I just always do a Multi-Install. Will make my memory cards for for all PS2, as long as they are the same region (and as long as it's not either a very old model, or a very new, in which case a normal install wouldn't work anyways).
To err is human. To really foul up requires a computer.

I did a normal install using one of my V4 consoles and it works fine on all my other consoles, V4 to a V16
    PS2 Consoles:
    SCPH-30001 [V4] - unmodded (2)
    SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE
    SCPH-50001-N [V9] CC 2.0 SLE
    SCPH-79001 [V16] Silver - unmodded
