Newbie probem with Mcboot

Crossover cable? As in like an ethernet cable from ethernet port to LAN/ethernet port? Also, what if I connect an external hard drive to the computer I'm going to use, can I do that?

If you don´t use a router, than you need a crossover-cable (LAN-cable with pins 3+4 crossed).
If you use a router then you can take a normal LAN-cable.

Yes you can.
You can also make a folder on your PC-internal-HDD and named it as PS2SMB (BTW: C:\PS2SMB, or D:\PS2SMB) or whatelse you want to name it and give it on your network free too.....

It depends what System you have on your PC (win xp, vista-7)

For the PS2 you don´t need to search. You set it in OPL under "settings"->"network"
