I know it seems a bit spoiled since we can alwasy run the regular opl from apps of mini opl, we are just anxious for this to develope to what we expect it to become.
It's just that I fail to understand what you two want. I already gave out a MBR that boots Open PS2 Loader and a version with VMC enabled, even.
If you have the +OPL partition it should work fine, I suppose. I put OPL inside a MBR because I know a lot of people will not use the SONY OSD because they have HDDs that are too large for it.

And MINI OPL is not meant to be used for anything but being launched from SONY OSD, that's why it has no GUI. I just posted it because people asked. Besides it being usable to boot HDL games from the OSD, it has no other uses.

okay lol i understand now. we are confused as to what was actually in the POC. so the POC does have vmc enabled?

I thought it did however I still use physical memory card, so was not completely sure.

being able to boot ule from hdd would be awesome in any future release, you probably already had that in mind tho

you can still install the decrypted hdd-osd if you dont have a ATAD patching modchip, and install uLe als launchable app from the osd(hdd).
but you will need anything to launch the decrypted hdd-osd, like a fmcb memorycard or something like that......

Edit: it should also be possible to injekt the decrypted(&atad patched) hddosd into the mbr aswell.
which should be the ultimate method for People without Sony hdd or atad patching modchip.

    i just said "should"

l_oliveira said that mbr kelfs are different from "standart" kelfs, so it shouldn be possible to use the dvdelf.bin inject method, so i cant test it, i guess

what you mean by file size?

if you mean the size of the hdd-osd, it can be easly compressed and it fits perfectly in the 1.6mb dvdelf.bin,
i tried it myself and replaced the regionfree patched hosdsys.elf with it, and it works perfect like that,
eventhough, i have to admit it makes no sense in my case as i can use the regionfree one already, with the regionfree patched mbr.

    Hi!

Your current biggest KELF is 1.6MB, right?
So, how to inject a 3.8MB hosdsys.elf into it?

I apologize, i should have tried before asking. I thought it was miniopl embedded on the mbr. Btw, which revision is it?
