i am not sure how exactly you could use AFL as a mean to request source code. FMCB is probably on the same licence, and its most recent versions are not publicly available in form of source code.

I'll leave him to make the release... but I can say that the loader part of this "mini OPL" was not derived from OPL. It's development shared the same path as PS2ESDL - originally based on another loader before it was totally rewritten to the point where it's not even the similar.

The IOP modules and the EE core are essentially the same as whatever he released in the Shadow Hearts 2 fix thread.... if not older. Originally, the EE core and IOP modules were from the last revision stored within the OPL BitBucket repository, until he wanted to incorporate his fixes into it.

I used to call this game loader "DISKLOAD", while he refered to the entire project as "Mini OPL". Now to think about it, I'm now only referring to the loader that sets up the EE core and IOP modules - which is certainly my own creation. Hence, the name that most people know this mini OPL build as is just "Mini OPL".

Well then you would know is it possible to fix the KH2FM is the patching for OPL still their and if so hope you incorporate the fix for IHD that works that has been posted by me many times it works without black screening in Gummi missions ;)

And this is all a moot point for the moment anyway without knowing l_oliveira's intentions on the matter. lol

i'm not arguing, just stating my interpretation. feel free to correct me, if you have valid point to back your point of view with i'll agree with your opinion.

AFL is considered GPL incompatible, so that could be the point of conflict with aforementioned licence.

I don't see the point if this OPL only has changes he made you can find them on this site

and the rest can be found a bitbucket and the installer was wrote by them and also the encrypter so no need for that to be open if they want it that way :D

There's no secrets on Mini OPL, as stated by SP193, it's his loader program along with a lot of mods, changes and other stuff done by me.
A second version of MINI exists, but since it uses PS2ESDL EE core it would be fair call it MINI PS2ESDL lol. Still it uses OPL IOP side code, which makes it a hybrid ! lol

You, sir (bfoos) seem to have a very, very wrong idea about me. I don't mind sharing my mods and I've done it already on several threads.


Mini is slightly useless as an loose ELF. You can see once you compile it and try to use. Look at bootgame.c on how to make it boot a single game without need argv.
Also make sure you disable PS2 logo display as it requires the ISO to have a decrypted copy of the logo there. You will end with a black screen if your PS2 is of the kind that checks the logo before displaying.
Finally, MINI at the moment uses static configuration but I plan in the future make it use the original HDLOADER compatibility flags mask for it's internal settings.

What I cannot discuss and will not enter on any details is how such a ELF is made bootable as it will very likely cause us BIG TROUBLE with the big enemy crab.

Remember what SONY did to Jimmi ? -_-;

Sources will compile into normal ELFs. ELFs are further processed in a undisclosed method and the bootable files are the result.
