I borrowed a friend's memory card that had the free mcboot exploit already installed and im trying to install free mcboot on my memory card the problem im having is that there is no option to run uLaunchELF all i see is the options for SMS , ERS , HDL etc but no uLaunchELF , i tried downloading the uLaunchELF iso for both cd and dvd and burned them off but when i insert them i get the red screen that asks for a playstation format disc. How can i load uLaunchELF? Thanks

I believe there are a couple of ways to go about this (not including hard drives and/or networks).

    1. You can download the uLaunch.elf and install that on the memory card when you do the initial installation. However, if you can't actively install this on your own, the next option will probably be better...

    2. When you said "ERS" I hope you meant "ESR" as that will allow you to do the following. If you download the ISO version of uLaunch.elf and patch it with the ESR disc patcher (not sure how it works or what to do, as I use SwapMagic for my backups). Then you can run it with the console.

    Hope this helps,
    James

If someone who owned the card didn't reassign the startup buttons

If that don't work try start and assign what you need but who knows maybe that has been config different too

If both do not work boot ESR if gui version and use Launch APP will boot uLE too but you must have an ESR patched DVD in

    V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
    PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be

There is another way to uLE if the below ways donīt work.....

Boot the PS2. On PS2-Browser scroll down till "FMCB Configurator". Press "X" to launch.
press "X" for Button layout "X = OK". Now you are in main-configurator.
Scroll down to "Return to loader" and press "X".
    uLE come up......

You could download ULE, rename it from BOOT.ELF to RESCUE.ELF, place it on a USB stick, insert USB into your ps2 before you boot FMCB.
