    i have 2 ps2's :
    Fat v7 SCPH-39002 modchip 1.0bios
    Slim v15 SCPH-77002 unmodded 2.0bios

now i created a multiboot freemc on the Fat console for the reason that the dvddrive is starting to play up and so i could load hdadvance from mc, that seems to all go well, but the card wont work on my slim i tried adding DVDELF.BIN from the link in the psx-scene tut but still works on my fat modded console but not the slim, any help would be much appreciated as im at a roadblock ive read all the tut through over and over but no answer for this problem. thanks.

edit: ive also tryed to do it directly from the slim but the only game i have with an elf file is hardware online arena that came with the PAL-AUS network adaptor i got many years ago, i tryed to make a backup of it and replace the NTGUI_CD.ELF file with the ulaunchelf 4.42a boot.elf using apache 1.1 and i cant get it to work either tryd to swap disc many times but after swap disc and select network config or other options it freezes , so i think this game not compatable, again any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks jamie.

Which 'BIOS-Versions' are you talking about here?
Sincerly not about the PS2's BIOS, because 390xx-models have BIOS 1.60 and 770xx BIOS 2.20.
How did you even get those numbers?
You can't know your BIOS-Version, if you didn't already started homebrew on your console...

now i created a multiboot freemc on the Fat console
    Multiboot? You mean Multi-Install, right?

for the reason that the dvddrive is starting to play up and so i could load hdadvance from mc, that seems to all go well, but the card wont work on my slim
What happens, if the MC is inserted?
Does it loop on a black-screen (until you remove the MC), or does nothing happen at all (as if the FMCB-MC weren't present)?

i tried adding DVDELF.BIN from the link in the psx-scene tut
    That wo(uld)n't change anything...

but still works on my fat modded console but not the slim, any help would be much appreciated as im at a roadblock ive read all the tut through over and over but no answer for this problem. thanks.
What do those both PS2s show, when you press TRIANGLE in the main-menu of the OSDSYS (where 'Browser' and 'Systemconfiguration' is located at)?

edit: ive also tryed to do it directly from the slim but the only game i have with an elf file is hardware online arena that came with the PAL-AUS network adaptor i got many years ago, i tryed to make a backup of it and replace the NTGUI_CD.ELF file with the ulaunchelf 4.42a boot.elf using apache 1.1 and i cant get it to work either tryd to swap disc many times but after swap disc and select network config or other options it freezes , so i think this game not compatable, again any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks jamie.
    HOA should work!
If I remember correctly there were more than one user-report, that it is indeed compatible (but I'm not 100%ly sure).

What happens, if you put the FMCB'ed MC into the second slot of your slim-PS2?

and yes it is a continuous loop of freemcboot screen but i am able to luanch hdloader, esr, sms, ulaunch etc etc from shortcut buttons still,

in browser when press triangle :

    fat v7 - Console SCPH-39002
    Browser 1.20
    CD Player 1.20
    Playstation Driver 1.10
    DVD Player 2.13A
    and a MAC address.

    slim v15 - Console SCPH-77002
    Browser 1.40
    CD Player 2.00
    Playstation Driver 2.00
    DVD Player 3.11A
    and a MAC address.

with hardware online the thing is i am not sure when exactly to do the swap, but ive tryed at multiple times. if u find out anything specific plz let me know thx.

update i also found some demos but had no success with any:

a Demo that came with my ps2 a long time ago that just says PBPX-95506
and OPS2M DEMOS 09,10 i patched the elfs of le mans and and f1 no go.
and a demo of gravity sucks which i have not tryed

i added sticky tape to the sensors on the ps2 also to fool it into thinking the lid is closed if that makes any difference. and use a headphone male end to block the disc stopper.

Ah, I see now... You meant the 'Playstation-Driver'.
But this is not related to PS2-Stuff at all, but PS1-Stuff.

    and yeah multi install,

and yes it is a continuous loop of freemcboot screen but i am able to luanch hdloader, esr, sms, ulaunch etc etc from shortcut buttons still,
Curious,... It starts correctly, but the modified OSDSYS seems to crash...
Are you sure that this PS2 is mod-free?
The same happens for example with Crystal-Chips...

If it is really mod-free, I suspect a problem with the CNF, but I'm not sure about it.

in browser when press triangle :

    Your SCPH 39002 shows a MAC-Adress?

with hardware online the thing is i am not sure when exactly to do the swap, but ive tryed at multiple times. if u find out anything specific plz let me know thx.

Hwwwwoooh,... I'm not sure how to help ya, since I probably do not have the same discs.

But why do you want to install it that way anyway...
I don't think a faulty install is the cause of your problem. <-- Atleast the 'FMCB-loader'/osdxxx.elf seems to be correctly installed.

You might try to reformat your MC with 'MC Annihilator v2' and then reinstall the Multi-Version-Installation.

the fat PS2 is modded it has a messiah chip i think it was called i got it done a long time ago in my first post i said "fat spchxxxx modded". will that cause a bad install? i was under the impression u could still make a mc but it will not work correct if try to use it. i still thought if i make it on the modded fat and switch to the slim it would be fine but seems that my assumptions are wrong i guess

coz i read somewhere that u should disable modchip but im clueless on how to do anything like that and if it requires me taking solder wires off then ill give it a miss.

im gonna go to my local ebgames store and see if they have agent under fire second hand and just try from the slim again, i mainly wanted to make a mcboot for the slim as it has no mods but i also wanted to use it for the fat just to launch hdloader without use a disc as the dvd drive seems to be on its last days.

thanks for the help thus far ill report if all goes well wen i get back.

i found 007 nightfire at store for 10bucks i made backup and switched driving elf but i swear i did it 20 times and each time load screen freeze when trying to load the driving level from menu what do i do, many people said this game works so i must be doing something wrong.
i swap disc as fast as possible at menu screen then select enimies vanquished driving level which i read here should work:
    Turn 007: NightFire into a Boot Disk - Page 3 - SKSApps.com - Console Applications - Gaming

anyone have any insight ill keep attempting but i dont want to f up the laser or the motor doin this a million times.

It could, but I asked if the slim might be modded too (even if you don't know it yet).

It starts (you see FMCB-Logo on start-up), so the loader is correctly encrypted and installed.

coz i read somewhere that u should disable modchip but im clueless on how to do anything like that and if it requires me taking solder wires off then ill give it a miss.
That is meant for the time when you want to boot FMCB, not when you install it...
I guess, there are not so many modchips, which make troubles while installing.

im gonna go to my local ebgames store and see if they have agent under fire second hand and just try from the slim again, i mainly wanted to make a mcboot for the slim as it has no mods but i also wanted to use it for the fat just to launch hdloader without use a disc as the dvd drive seems to be on its last days.

Try to reformat your MC with MC Annihilator v2, like I told you and re-instal the FMCB-Multi-Version-Install.

I already told you... FMCB is CORRECTLY installed!
As long as the FMCB-Logo shows up on start-up, the FMCB-Loader is correctly installed (and you said it shows up on both PS2s).

Good luck,... It won't fix your problem, if my tipps&suggestions didn't helped,...
But hey,... You didn't even try what I told you, did you (...not to say you didn't tested anything of it at all, but I'm really curious what you've done...)?

    -re-partitioned and re-formatted MC with MCAv2?
-Installed FMCB as Multi-Install and without a custom CNF (if a CNF is in the FMCB_CFG-Folder, just delete it).
I bet you can start apps on both PS2s (even if the OSDSYS only works on one in your case), simply because you can see the FMCB-Logo...
