    could somebody please help me identify if my ps2 is compatible with free mcboot i need to find the date code but i cant see it maybe one of you guys can here is a picturedsc_1779.jpg

    With no disc or memory card attached, boot up the PS2 and hit triangle to find out the software version. IIRC it'll tell you the BIOS version as well, can't confirm myself at the moment. You more than likely have one of the early SCPH-900xx models, which were manufactured just before datecodes started to matter. :P At least I hope so!

    la consola no tiene chip, la consola es de mi primo que vive en centro america. yo le quiero mandar una memory card con free mcboot desde usa. y queria estar seguro si se puede hackear. gracias de todas formas.

    you would need to do the FMCB 1.8c region-less install to use an American installed FMCB on this console . the only way to see if it works is to try it..........
