i hope you like my work.....if theres interest i can MAKE many more....

you can use this file in your compiler if your compiling fmcb or

you can use this file in ulaunchelf by deleting the .icn file and replacing it with this one, make sure it has the same name (shouldn't be necessary)

here's the proper one i promised, the first one was kinda a mistake... this one is named properly, i'll work on adding the description later, heres another moving icon...

again u can compile with this ( make sure you rename it to the name of the .icn file your replacing) or u can add it the save folder with ulaunchelf

    Thanks!
I would love it if you could make a set of FMCB Icons that have Large text that says something along the lines of FMCB Do Not Delete This Save! This way all the people who share a PS2 with family, roommates, or friends who don't know what FMCB is will at least be warned that those saves must not be deleted.
Some international symbols I have included pics of below could also help convey the message and avoid reliance on English comprehension.

I would also recommend that they be as small as possible, with all the extra space FMCB takes up already space is at a premium.

JNABK already worked out a way to build an icon with an added bmp image, "you can make simple ones using bmp2icon.exe , just create a 128 x 128 bmp image and select from 3 types of pre-textured shapes."

it took me a lot of time to make those from a 3D texturing software, i'm currently trying to put something else together but i'm having a conflict over an object i need more time to resolve, JNABK recommended 3ds Max software to me so i'm playing with that now, its kinda rough, you can actually make that icon u want pretty big, so if you do use bmp2icon you should try editing it again with another program, or just start with the 3d software, i'll check back in tomorrow...

I took a screen shot with my TV capture card. Is this what the icon is supposed to look like? I'm unsure what it has to do with FMCB

You made those icons or you mean you copied them from a game save folder? The first one looks familiar from a game ive played, but cant recall off hand......Kesson, Kesson II maybe? A custom Icon is one that makes people associate it immediately with the app or game its for. Neither of those seem to say 'FMCB'.
you can use this file in ulaunchelf by deleting the .icn file and replacing it with this one, make sure it has the same name (shouldn't be necessary)
    Yes, it is necessary or you need to change the icon.sys if you use a different filename than the one currently in the folder on MC, otherwise it wont display. You can easily check it out right on your PC with PS2SaveBuilder by dragging both the icon and icon.sys into it. Click the icon.sys to change the file name and set the title {text in Yellow on the MC Browser}

Heres an example Icon i made , this might be more towards what your looking for urbigbro , or did you want all the text in the Icon itself?
I can make you a custom Icon, but you need to tell me what you want it to say for the icon itself, as well as the title of the save.

This is an example of just text with my nic:

That icon has nothing to do with FMCB.
It is identical to the gamesave icon from "Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter".
The picture depicts one of the insect-like fairies of the fairy colony in that game.

Since we are talking about a file to be stored on MC here, my personal preference would be for a simple two-colour flat text slate (similar to what uLE can make), since that will result in minimum filesize for the info conveyed by the image.

Why waste lots of MC space on eye-candy that will only be visible in the Sony MC browser...?

    Best regards: dlanor
