Multi boot Question.

Hi, first off excellent work, ok so i dont get what multiboot is, because i install fmcb for friends and i use my 90002 to do all the installing and i always install normal mode. Every install i have done for friends has worked and some have fat ps2 sopme have slim, I myself have 5 PS2's V3, 4, 7, 12 and 18 and they all work perfectly from my v18 normal install. Now could this be just with models ending in 2 or do US consoles do the same. Its just a curious question thats all just never really knew what it did coz i never tried it. multiboot installs files in such a way that they will work on every ps2 model.

certain ps2 models look for a differently named encrypted files on the memory card. (BxEXEC-SYSTEM/osd???.elf , most consoles also check BxEXEC-SYSTEM/osdmain.elf)

single install version does not guarantee that, and some consoles might not work with it.

yoshi314 explained it, but it is a "multi install" and not a "multi-boot".
It installs dummy-files, to give compatibility to all PS2-versions&revisions of the same region.
It has nothing to do with "multi-boot" (which name implies, that you have the choice of which osd-update you boot [but there is no choice]).
