MGS3 Exploit Help

Hello,
So for the past few hours I've been trying to figure out how to get the Metal Gear Solid 3 exploit to work on my PS2 fat (SPCH - 50001). I've made a backup of my original disc, replaced the NETDOWN ELF with the compressed ELF's from uLE versions 4.21 and 4.12 (I've read that these specifically work with MGS3, though the uncompressed versions work with most other games). I've tried burning both versions at both 2x, 4x and 8x with ImgBurn, and have taken the top cover off of my PS2 to swap. I follow the instructions, hit start on the main menu, swap the discs, go to "Special" and then "Camouflage download", but then, after a few seconds of black screen, am taken to the Red "Please Insert a PS2 disc" screen.

Anyone have any idea how to make this game work to install FMCB?

Edit: Eh. I just bought Agent Under Fire instead. Whatever.
