I have a retail copy of HDLoader that I've had for a few years, and I was trying to use this tutorial (http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/hdloader.php) to install FMCB. However, when I go to launch the uLaunchElf ISO, the PS2 just goes to a black screen. I'm using ule 4.38, the version provided in that tutorial. Can anybody help me figure out what I might be doing wrong?

I installed fmcb in a similar way, only i used the independece compiler to make the image, mounted it with winhiip and ran it with hdloader, worked ok. you might want to try it since ulaunch iso isnt working for you

try using older version of ulaunchelf, and maybe you should try using mode3.

i bought my unmodded ps2 with hd advance discs set. that was my only way to run homebrew code on this ps2.

then i installed ulaunchelf iso to my hdd and from there i was able to install independence exploit on my ps2. fmcb should also be a non-issue.

i think i used 4.13 ulaunchelf at that time.
