We are planning to buy 007 Underfire so i can install FMCB in a memory card for my friend's ps2 scph-30000. In swapping the original 007 Underfire with the backup, do i need a swapping kit or just plain eject the original then replace it with the edited back up in order to launch fmcb installer?

What games are confirmed working besides underfire and socom that can be use in booting and running the fmcb installer?

I assume that by "swapping kit" you mean the kind of methods used for 'SwapMagic' or 'CogSwap', so as to swap a disc without letting the CDVD controller in the PS2 notice that the disc was exchanged.

If so, then yes. You must perform the swap exactly as if you were using SwapMagic or similar methods. If the CDVD mechacon senses that the tray has been opened, then it will perform a new disc validation which will fail for the backup disc.

I've no idea. Theoretically any game which contains an additional subprogram elf file that is launched by some specific action in-game can be used for this purpose. But identifying each such game, and what to do in each of them to activate the elf launching, that would be a major project in itself.

    Best regards: dlanor

Stop crying and (simply) try it.
Some Regions might be compatible with each other (list in FMCB-Advanced-Tutorials --> INJECT-Part, thought).

You wonīt loose anything from tryin' and you might discover something,...

You canīt break anything, after FMCB is installed to the MC, so it will either start on your PS2 or not and black screen (loop --> If you unplug your MC [even while it shows black-screen], it will start OSDSYS normally.).

I will try to follow this tutorial

    http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials...oit_armax.html

    There is a note here

Note : Some versions will not accept the folder name of " NEW_FILE ", so change it to your region by naming it accordingly:

    BADATA-SYSTEM - for NTSC - U/C
    BEDATA-SYSTEM - for PAL
    BIDATA-SYSTEM - for NTSC - J
I will still refer to this in the rest of the guide as NEW_FILE, so you will know its the same one im refering to.

Since my friend have a scph-30000, are going to use BIDATA as a folder name or BIDATA-SYSTEM? OR BIDATA-SYSTEM - for NTSC - J ?

I just want to minimize waste of time by doing trial and error
