I was thinking about buying CodeBreaker V10.0 to install FMCB v1.7 to my memory card via the guide on this site... http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/en_cb.htm

And I had a few questions.

    1. Has anyone's ps2 crashed while using codebreaker?
    2. Is there a certain disc i should use with my ps2? I've skimmed a few forums and I've seen people use DVDr (+) or (-) and CDr. Any suggestions?

Any pointers would be helpful as well Ill try and provide everything I can

    PS2 - Model NO. SCHP-30001 (Fat)(v4)
Memory card - Official Sony 8MB Memory Card (MagicGate)
USB - Sandisk: Cruzer titanium 2.0 GB (Removed the U3 crap)
if you need anymore info just tell me. Thanks in advance

why do you need blank dvd's for this step? you use an original codebreaker disc to assist in booting the installer.

One step at a time dude. pile too much on at one time when starting out, it becomes too confusing.

Sony, TDK, Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, ect.

NOT Memorex, Great Quality, HP, ect.

Sigh... my flash drive is recognized by codebreaker gotta buy a new one.

Also have a 4gig Sandisk Cruzer micro but it also wasn't recognized and I'm wondering if its because the U3 is still on it or Codebreaker won't recognize it
