Download FMCB Noobie install package. Put it on a USB thumb drive. Plug into your ps2.

Run FMCB. Run uLaunchELF. Use the file browser. Browse to mass, (that's your USB). Find and run FREE_MCBOOT.ELF. Follow on screen instructions.

Make sure there is no game in the tray. If there any disc in the tray, the PS2 will start the disc. Now open ULaunchELF from the menu. After it launches go to the file browser, then to mass, then open FreeMcBoot.elf. After Free McBoot loads up, switch the memory cards and install.

If ULaunchELF isn't in the menu that most likely means it wasn't installed onto the card or your cousin deleted it. Go to the Free McBoot configurator on the bottom of the list. When that is open, change the launch patch of ULaunchELF to load from the USB drive and not the memory card. If you can do this and ULE loads, just proceed to loading the free mcboot installer and installing it on your memory card.

Try to keep pressing select when turning on the console and don't let go until something happens. If that doesn't work, try with all other buttons too.

If the configuration is still the same from the noobie package, hold R1 during boot with the Free McBoot memory card in slot 1 and the usb drive in any slot. That should be the shortcut to load ULE.
