Ok, For the last two weeks I've been trying to get mcboot to work on my ps2 slim 79001-7c model. Tried usb didn't work, tried cd method didn't work. I tried different size flash drives didn't work. What am I doing wrong? I'm using ar replay it won't read the files. I'm almost at my wits end. Can anyone help me here or am I lost for ever?

are you following this tut : AR Max

it says: Many USB devices are simply not fully compatible with AR Max, even though they recognise the device, it may not show all files or boot them properly. Don not take out the USB device and re-insert it while AR Max is running, "Hot-Swapping" is not a good idea with AR Max. Here are 2 known methods you can try to get around the incompatibility if either one will show in the Media Players menu.... (see link for the explanations)

See I did all of that, I was even advised to use a smaller usb stick, which I did. I tried the cd method which would be my way of getting around it and nothing.
