This particular combination results in some strangeness. I don't know why. The game appears to run fine, but the controls are a little dodgy ingame. Sometimes you'll get two (or three!) hits for a small turntable movement or a single key hit, and sometimes it'll completely ignore a hit, all at apparent random.

At first I thought it was my controller, but I found and connected my second controller, which did the same thing. More importantly, everything was smooth sailing on later IIDX releases. Trying to narrow down the issue, I hooked up my dualshock and sucked my way through a round. I didn't get any ghost hits or other mess. Then I took out my exploit card and booted 3rd with swap magic (3.6), hooking up the dedicated controller again. Surprise! -- no controls problems.

I wasn't able to narrow it down between FMCB and ESR. (Trying to boot a game with swap magic while under FMCB strangely just boots FMCB again, wtf?) I have a fat PS2, but the laser is dead and I haven't had a chance to drag it upstairs to mess with its hard drive yet. If it means anything, my slim (with the good laser) is a v12 US.
