idea for sticky thread organization

Edit - I've removed this content from one of the many ESR compatibility threads to keep from 'spamming' it.

Not unless a mod says so. and if you haven't noticed, there's a ton of stickies right now in the FreeVAST section. no new ones will come about.
Instead I'm about to suggest to jimmi and the other mods a new way to organize information in this section much like the way I've done the xbox 1 section of SKSApps. This way we are not flooded with stickies but important threads can find an organized spot in a single sticky.

My thought is just one sticky with links to the important threads. no need to clutter with another stick. just simplify making it the only. but i'm not doing anything of the such until I can get the ok from the head of this section (jimmi) an the other major staffer (dlanor)

I agree with the general idea. The new sticky should simply be made a locked single-post thread, so that only moderators can post anything there (just like only moderators can stick/unstick threads).
We can then 'unstick' most of the old sticky threads, and instead add their links to the thread list in the new sticky thread. But I think that a few of the existing stickies should remain unchanged, so that newcomers can find them directly on entering the FreeVAST forum.
The threads that I think should remain normal stickies are these:
1: Official Free MC Boot Releases
2: FMCB Installer Boot Tutorials
3: [Free Service!]I can install fmcb for you!
Having these directly visible as normal stickies may at least reduce the amount of unnecessary questions from noobs coming to this site only for FMCB.
Together with the new sticky this would result in a total of only four stickies, which is less than half of the current count (9).
Best regards: dlanor

This might be a crazy idea, but how about making a generic sticky thread, something like "Free MC Boot Sticky Thread", where you can make one post and link to all these other threads in on place? Just an idea to help clean up the threads, etc...

Sounds like we have a plan. I'll wait for jimmi's word.
Edit - @ ps2dragon - That was my initial intent since all the current stickies could be easily organized by group and importance. would make it easier to find everything IMO. But I'm good with any form of the idea to reduce the need for the current number of stickies we have.

ps: there is a nice mod for vb wich allows users to set there personal stickys, i would make something like that
{table mod stickys} <- is visible globaly
- FMCB Sticky
- ESR Sticky
- Few other stickys...
{table user stickys} <- is only visible to user
- My Personal Sticky #1
- My Personal Sticky #2
would be a nice way of sticky organisation

That would be a possiblility if I were an admin, but I'm only a moderator. So I have no way of adding any vb mods to the forum.
