I reformatted my new MC with Free MC Boot, have questions –
It is a 128MB model, or at least it is supposed to be. It still says 128 MB after the reformat. Does this mean that my MC is legit? Also, my AR-MAX cannot recognize the MC. Is this a usual problem with a large MC, or did Free MC Boot format it in a weird way?
There are more problems. None of my games can recognize the MC, even though FMCB is successfully installed and running from it.

you have a chinese clone. crappy game save compatibility.
I read on here that people got these sort of memory cards to work fine, but they had to format them with something called MCAnnihilator.
I read that the program is in another language, and it doesn't work with NTSC TVs. How do I get it to work?
I'm not talking about compatibility with FMCB. I'm talking about general game saving compatibility. they suck for that and often times are slow, and unreliable.
So you mean that these things are generally incompatible with games, and there is nothing I can do to fix the problem? If so, the thing is junk to me. I am just going to have to use a USB drive to store my excess data, and transfer back and forth with uLaunchElf. Well, at least I only spent 10 bucks on the MC.
that's what I do. I use my 2GB thumb drive to store ALL my apps, backup game saves, and such. Then I just have 2 Sony 8MB cards in my system and I don't have a space problelm at all.
And with the apps stored on the usb stick, I have FMCB set to launch them from there as well. makes it so much easier to deal with in the long run.
