not really a problem though but yesterday when i was going to watch a movie via simple media system(SMS) when i launch it, it doesn't boot, it just freezes to a black screen, this happened to me before but it was ulaunchelf that wasn't booting that time.. although i can always fix it.. i'm just afraid that it might corrupt my savegames so anyone knows whats causing this?

any solutions or suggestions are greatly appreciated..

if you are worried about your saves then once SMS has started and before you start a movie remove the card. SMS will still work without the card . another solution is to have the FMCB card in slot 2 and a save game card in slot 1. you can then remove the save card before starting SMS.

Does this black-screening occour, after the loading-logo of FMCB is/was shown?

It could be due to multiple reasons...
It could be FMCB's config, SMS's config or an entirely different issue, such as a defect storage-device (MC in this case).
