    I created an FMCB MC for my SCPH 30001 last year, and I have to admit that I forgot the process (which involved my PS2 Slim and Action Replay or Swap Magic). Anyway, I ordered an SCPH 50001 (don't have it yet) because I got tired of the loud fan on the 30001. I can't remember if I used the "Normal" or "Multi-Version" install for FCMB. Is there an easy way to tell? I'd love to use the same MC if I'd selected "Multi-Version." Thanks for any help.

    Boot uLaunchELF, navigate to your memory card and browse the BAEXEC-SYSTEM folder. If you see many files beginning with "osd", you have the multi-install.

    Thanks so much for the quick reply. It turns out that I do see many of these files, beginning with "osd100" and going to "osd290," with the number in the file name going up by ten.

    So, I'll assume that this is the multi-version install. Appreciate it. Now I don't have to relearn the process this afternoon!

    You wouldn't have to relearn anyway just make another MC with full with one you have but most likely if same area it will work with it
    I have had that happen with like 3 different ps2 with regular install

    V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
    PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
    Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
    Is how all good gaming systems came to be

    Just letting you know, most PS2 models want a file called "osdmain.elf".

    Only early models need specific files:

    SCPH-10000 and 15000: osdsys.elf and then osd110.elf after it installs the kernel update;
    SCPH-18000 osd120.elf
    early SCPH-3000x osd120 or osd130 depending on the version on it's ROM.

    All other models will look for osdmain.elf, including V4 and up.
    SCPH-10000_GH-001 SCPH-15000_GH-003 SCPH-18000_GH-008 SCPH-30001_GH-005 SCPH-30000_GH-016(V4) SCPH-30001_GH-010(V4)
    2xSCPH-10190, 2xSCPH-10350, 2xSCPH-10280
    "**** j0 hackers!"
