Hello everyone, i´m looking for a method of protection for the free MC boot installation if someone want to copy it, this is because one friend wants that i install the FMCB on his MC but i don´t want that he try to copy to another MC, and I dont know how to put the name of some apps that i want to install as USB Advance etc... in the main menu because to launch that apps i have to use the ULaunchELF, i just want that they apear in the main menu as ESR, SMS, HDLOADER, thanks, sorry for my bad English, my native lenguage is spanish.

I Have Intalled FMCB 1.8 on a Sony Magic Gate Memory Card( PS2 Slim SCPH- 900001 )

Hello everyone, i´m looking for a method of protection for the free MC boot installation if someone want to copy it, this is because one friend wants that i install the FMCB on his MC but i don´t want that he try to copy to another MC,
It MUST be installed on the MC by the installer to work, a copy wont work at all. So its already got that protection.

and I dont know how to put the name of some apps that i want to install as USB Advance etc... in the main menu because to launch that apps i have to use the ULaunchELF, i just want that they apear in the main menu as ESR, SMS, HDLOADER,
You can find out how to do that by reading the User Guide,go down to where you see this:

    Configure OSDSYS Options...

    -OSD Settings menu:
then read the part just under that:
    --Configure Item :
Press left or right to select an item from 1 to 100

    ---Name: Displays in the OSD Menu {Sony Main screen}

---Path1: First location searched for by FMCB
---Path2: Second location searched for by FMCB
---Path3: Third location searched for by FMCB

Here you can assign apps and give them a name that will display on the Sony main menu screen.
You can select up to 100 apps and they will be linked to the Sony menu.
Be sure to return to the main menu and save it to one of the device listed to save to.
    PS2 Consoles:
    SCPH-30001 [V4] - unmodded (2)
    SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE
    SCPH-50001-N [V9] CC 2.0 SLE
    SCPH-79001 [V16] Silver - unmodded

I can only imagine that you dont want him installing it on multiple memory cards either becuase he will take business or reputation from you. This probably has not been made for FMCB becuase it is meant to be shared and shared alike. Maybe he is not a good enough friend?

Anyway, It would be more important to me if a way was developed to make protection so important files could not be erased. password protected or something. maybe some can develope something with both options.

The problem with this is how FMCB works. Because the files on the MC are organized as "Savegames" they can be deleted easily with the regular internal MC-Browser. Only a hardware read-only switch could prevent the user from deleting files of his MC, but I don't know any MC which features this.
    Slim PS2 SCPH-70004 (v13) w/ FMCB, 3x Sony 8MB, 1x MaxMemory 16MB (Backup card)

I'm not available for FMCB installation service until I can guarantee a processing time of a few days again, sorry.

some saves can somehow be marked as protected. but i have no idea how does it work. (e.g system configuration has some kind of protection).

Only that you can't copy it to a different memory card or to the HD through the PS2 browser. (can be done in ulaunch though) Can still delete these files in the browswer though.
