use uLE to copy the GSM.ELF to anywhere you like on your MC, the usual place is in the app folder on the MC.
then use uLE to start the FMCB configurator.
then add another line to the OSDSYS .
its pretty straight forward but there are tutorials around and DJ did a youtube tutorial on it , the link was in his signature.

    cheers

ok, where is your FMCB install? if it is in slot 1 then the folder should be mc0:/app if it is not there then you can press R1 to get a menu and add a new directory.

you can put it any where you like so in mc0:/boot/ if you want it doesnt matter because when you add a line to the OSDSYS you will set the path to the file then.

if you use an usb flashdrive all the time in your console, do the following

put the desired elf in the root of the usb drive, and rename to something easy to spot (gsm.elf works). then boot the console with the flashdrive in, go to freemcboot configurator, go to configure OSDSYS options, go to "item 1" and press right until you see a blank spot, and press O (or X, depends on the option you selected at startup), select name and put whatever you want here, then go to path 1, go to mass, and select gsm.elf. then return to the main menu, and select save cnf to mass, and then fmcb restart

OK, I put the gsm. elf file in the root of the flash drive and did everything you said, but it still resets the console everytime i try to use it. It came in a folder full of stuff pertaining to gsm, is that the problem?

well i did take it out of the file it was in but kept the file on the usb stick, should I just cut and paste the gsm elf from the flash drive and make the only file on the flash drive when i put it on there? Ill try that now regardless.

I feel like my ps2 is being a smartass because even though im doing exactly what you and a accurate video tutorial have explained, its doing the same sh!t again and again. It says "Loading" for a sec, screen stays black for a few seconds, and then the FMCB splash screen jitters in which seems like a console reset to me. Additionally the video tutorial said to save the config. to mc0 and then to mass, unlike your directions to only save it to mass, but im still getting the same results either way. Either im blatantly forgetting something or my ps2 is asking for a trip out the window. Do I need to do a play by play of what im doing if necsesscary? That was a question BTW
