How to boot back-up PSX discs?
How to boot back-up PSX discs? –

Hi, I want to be able to back-up my PSX games before the get too many scratches. However, I would rather find some other kind of hack/exploit/something-er-other that does NOT involve stopping my disc motor and then forcing another disc on while it's trying to spin.
Here are my specs:
PlayStation2 Slim console 700012 I think
Swap Magic Flip Top installed and CD and DVD boot discs
Action Replay Max (NON EVO/Max Media Player edition)
2 USB thumbdrives, 1 works with Swap Magic and Action Replay, the other is an Action Replay drive and only works with ARMAX
PSX games, of course, orignals
PSX game, back-up
2 PS2 memory cards, + 1 PSX memory card
Swap Magic comes with ELF loader
I have the ability to load ELFS. I haven't installed FreeMCBoot yet, as I saw no need to, as I could just boot up homebrew apps with Swap Magic. What do I need to do to be able to boot my PSX games [without stopping the motor]?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I think you should install FMCB, cause then you can set in uLE the "Disc-control" to "ON" and the disc-motor stops. Then you can easy swap your backup.....

Ok, the webmaster can close this topic (if that's what they normally do). I had to find out how to make it work. I used vegito's PSX launcher, and everybody says that you have to have V9 console and up. Turns out, it worked fine with my V7 console. I installed FreeMCBoot (now I finally had a reason to install it!), uLaunch, PSXLauncher, and a few other things. I love FreeMCBoot! It lets me boot into an ELF file browser (almost exactly like the one on Swap Magic, only I don't need any discs!), and I can set an auto-trigger button that automatically does my ELFS. Thanks a lot FreeMCBoot team! I love your program!
P.S. The only thing I don't like about FreeMCBoot is that it decreases boot time of games by 3-5 seconds by displaying the logo. Other than that, it's cool.

The logo time is for it to exploit the console and check for what buttons are being pressed it is necessary and if you use swap magic you have to double boot so I wood check you timing FMCB is faster

V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be
