Help Using Codebreaker with FMCBoot
Help Using Codebreaker with FMCBoot –
Hello all. I apoligise in advance if this is the wrong place to post this. I've been up for hours trying to solve this issue. It's 5:25am i'm tired i just want some help please. Here's my issue:
Everything runs dandy, i can play back-ups and imported back-ups no problem. My issue is, When i try to use my Codebreaker to cheat in a game, it won't let me. It loads up fine, i can select the cheats, but when i insert the game(REAL PS2 GAME NOT BACK-UP) it just hangs on a black screen. Now I remember, reading a method somewhere around here on how to get cheats working for back-ups. Something involving switching cds and wat not, idk too tired to remember. If anyone knows a way to help me, plz, it will be much appreciated. Also, I have been able to get cheats working before, but now I can't.
I have FMCboot ver. 1.7 latest version i think..
I used the cheat device method to install it.
ok to start with if you are useing original ps2 game then you need to use a original CB disc not copied to load codes for your original Ps2 game the reason that CB is loading codes for your game backups is becouse CB is patched to load any CB_launch.elf witch means that your ESR or HD loader will load your games with codes in memory. as far as swiiching cds and loading backups that would require swapmagic but if you already have a xploited memory you shouldnt need it. FMCB 1.8 is out now go here to get it http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/free...-releases.html .
Also, if you do use the patched CodeBreaker elf, then you can also make it relaunch either FMCB or uLaunchELF instead of HDLoader, simply by using an appropriate CB_launch.elf file.
The result is that after selecting cheats and giving the command for CodeBreaker to start game you will find yourself back in either the FMCB menu or in the uLE menu. Either way you can then choose freely between starting a game through HDLoader, through ESR, or by normal disc booting (ESR command "Launch disc" or uLE command "MISC/PS2Disc").
This way a single patched CodeBreaker elf can be used for all those game launch methods.
