I have ten games installed in my hard drive and used to use HD Advance 3.0 to access them. I used to have a UK pal console but sold it and returned to Korea. I forgot that the pal HDA disk doesn't work with ntsc consoles over here due to the region lock.

I was hoping someone could help me play thoses games without modding my ps2.

Softmod it with McBoot. Use the Open PS2 Loader. That's how I did it before I swapped to emulation.

    Code:

Unfortunately, I do not have the resources to softmod it. I cannot connect the HD to my pc (i have a netbook), i cannot burn any dvd drive, and I don't have the swap magic cd.

The best you could do is check to see if anyone is modding them still. I'm not sure what the mailing laws are for S. Korea though. There is a listing somewhere on this forum as well as a listing on mcboots site. Other than that, you could try using a memor32 but they're pricy. My route was to emulate the ps2 so I wouldn't have to bother with it. Unfortunately a netbook isn't anywhere near strong enough for that kind of duty. If you really like the ps2 I'd suggest considering sending it to be chipped, though you stated you didn't want to do that.

In sort, unless you find someone to mod a ps2 memory card for you... You're out of luck. That's your only route.

I'm considering softmodding with free mc boot but I'm not really sure how I'm going to. I've reade somewhere that max drive can be used to softmod the ps2. Is it possible, because I can acquire it. (There actually is an active ps2 softmodding community over here)

Can softmodding be done without actually installing a chip? If possible can you direct me to the website that shows the tutorial? The ones on this website are either too complicated or requires resouces beyond my reach.
