    There are two possibilities:
1.Your FMCB card is not multi install version and in that way it wont work on any other PS2 than the one that you used to install FMCB.
2.The new PS2 is one of those new version on which FMCB wont work.

Beware! Sony has created a new BIOS in the SCPH-9000x series PS2 models that negate any OSDSYS update using the DVD player hack. This means that after BIOS revision 230, Playstation 2 units will not work with FMCB!
    also note :

dude it wont work if its from Different Region .
and you need to use Multi-install from the same region with different version

Multi-install is not a separate version of the installer program, but just a different command inside the same installer program.

For a newly store-bought SCPH-9000x model the chances are very slim.
You'd have to be dead lucky to get a unit from storage with an older production date than those normally sold now.

Apparently the magic date is the third quarter of 2008:

Consoles made before that quarter all have bios v2.20, working well with FMCB.
Consoles made after that quarter all have bios v2.30, not working at all with FMCB.
For consoles made during that quarter it's a toss-up, which bios they got.

    Best regards: dlanor

Boot PS2 without CD/DVD inserted, then press triangle and tell us what version of DVD Player you have?

    Mine as example is 1.30E (PS2 v4)
