HELP! 007 auf swap trick not working
HELP! 007 auf swap trick not working –
I've followed countless instructions for the ps2 gme swap trick using 007 auf- My ps2 slim (SCPH-75003) is soft modded so the disk runs when the lid is open.
When I swap the discs at the main menu, the music stops but I can still play the game normally. When I try to play the 2nd level (PRECIOUS CARGO) the screen just goes black. What am I doing wrong?
Presuming you have followed the AUF swap trick guide that sounds like a bad iso/media/burn issue. I would make a new image of your retail disc using DVD Decryptor and follow the steps again: http://freemcboot.info/swap.php
Try something like Verbatim DVD-R or some such other branded media noted for it's quality. Read at low speed. Burn at low speed. I even used DVD+R memorex and still worked for me.
I just tried Verbatim DVD-R read and burned at low speed and the same thing happened
How have you sensor modded your slim PS2? Could it be possible that you are dislodging one of the sensor blocks whilst performing the swap? In my experience it is these simple things that are usually the cause of problems. Also, perhaps the duration of time in performing the swap is important as I don't remember the music stopping for me. I thought that the music track would have been loaded in memory although someone with more knowledge than me can confirm whether this is the case?
The only other thing I can think of is trying it out on a friends console that is also compatible with Free Mcboot. If it works then you can rule out your DVD burner/media/iso being the problem and you can concentrate on swap method/sensor blocks. I hope you can get it working.
Thanks ploder but I just got one of the kind peeps on this forum to install it for me- thanks for your help
This is the exact problem that I seem to have! If anyone can prescribe a solution it would be greatly appreciated!
