Hey guys!
Today I have been trying your suggestions, but I couldn't for example connect my PS2 to my PC, since I did not know exactly how (later on I found out how to do it approximately).
So I thought "ah, screw this; let's take a break". After taking a break for a while I finally figured out how to solve it and really managed it!!
The text I am going to write is going to be a little long, because I want to mention everything that might be important, if anyone has the same problem.
I thought what my USB flash drive and JNABK's HDD have in common, and what my HDD has not what they have.
The answer was: they are smaller than 1TB. And that is when I decided to take my HDD and divide it into a few paritions.
Every partition with something different (formatted with FAT32, with FAT, smaller than 1 GB etc.)
The result was that my HDD partition had to be smaller than 1TB and formatted with FAT32 as a primary drive for my PS2 to be able to read it.
Smaller than 1TB meant (in my case at least) that when the program I used (EASEUS Partition Master 7.1.1 Home Edition) asked me how big the partition should be I had to enter a number smaller than 1 TB and a little bit (25 GB or something like that).
So that the "usable" amount of space after creating the partition was smaller than 1 TB (e.g. in my case 970 GB).
So I did that and it worked ^^
I tried Open PS2 Loader with my HDD and some random game. It worked but it lagged every 6 seconds for like 1 second. But that probably is due to the game, since on a list I found on the internet it said that this game (Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 2 PAL) will not work correctly.
I will try it with different games, too. However I do not have the time right now (since I tried the HDD thing all day long).
If anyone of you guys know this problem with the slight lag and if it probably is not due to the game, please tell me if there is a solution for that ^^
The other problem that occurred was with SMS Player. It did not recognize the HDD; or more precisely it crashed every time it started to load the HDD.
But I luckily tried every version from 2.9 (rev5) and below until one worked. My result was that version 2.6 and 2.7 (did not try earlier versions since those two worked) work. 2.8 and later did not work for me. I do not know why. I probably would have to check the changes made from 2,7 to 2,8, but I do not know how to program or anything like that.
If any of you guys happens to know why it does not work or how I can make it work, I would be happy to know, because 2,7 crashes sometimes (at least on my PS2).
And that's about it. I now ended up with a 970 GB FAT32 partition and the rest is a NTFS partition (for larger files).
I am really really thankful to all of you guys (spiderman, TnA, JNABK), because I probably would have just given up on trying, if you guys did not suggest methods that might work ^^
Thank you for that!
You guys are great
I do not know if this problem is only valid for my PS2 or for any PS2. However, if anyone has a similar problem as I did, you guys can give him one more suggestion, which might do the trick
Thanks for everything guys, thanks for the time you spent on answering me and thanks for the time you took thinking about possible solutions. I really do appreciate it!
Thank you and take care
(P.S.: how hilarious is this smiley ->

Glad you figured that out, as i wouldnt have thought of that being an issue, but perhaps there is a limit for reading a drive and it 'times out'. I just like to have multiple drives instead of a single drive to do everything. I only got the 1TB as i knew i'd need the space for all my games to fit on one drive. But i prefer the smaller drives cause i know the larger the drive, the longer it take to be read, format, defragment, etc.

Yes, that game is known to stutter real bad in USB Games, but works much better from Network Games ( much less lagging) and HDD Games (no lagging). Due to the PS2 being only USB 1.1 capable, there isnt anything more that can be done to fix the lagging, unless the devs come up with something they havent yet thought of.
You can look over the USB games compatibility list and see what has been reported. There is also the OPL Compatibility Thread here in the forums with info all during development stages too.

I dont use SMS, so i can't help with that.
