I am assuming the sensors are blocked, because I can play the game with the lid open. The game I am trying to use is an NTSC greatest hits copy of Ratchet Deadlocked. I replaced the network config elf file as stated on the installation site and swapped the discs with my burned copy. When trying to load the multiplayer menu, I will be sent to the browser menu or a red screen after 3-5 minutes. I am trying to deduce whether it is the game that isn't compatible with the trick or if there is a problem with my burned DVD. the only other game I have that is listed on the page is SOCOM Combined Assault, so I might try that before buying a different type of DVD

now i'm beginning to wonder if it is indeed a dvd issue or a problem with blocking the sensor. i bought a copy of Agent Under Fire, and it is still a no go. when I put take the disc out and put in the burned DVD, the laser on my ps2 begins to spazz out, and make a weird noise and move back and forth. if i take the burned dvd out and put the original disc back in, operation resumes as normal. does it seem like my sensor on the inside isn't completely blocked?
