I have read many tutorials, forum posts and goggled plenty and still haven't found the answers I need, If I did miss something obvious
somewhere, and I may very well have, then sorry. Im not an entire modding, hacking, whatever you'd like to call it, nooblit but am new to this.

I have burnt 3 backup copies of Jade Cocoon on verbatim CD-R at speeds 4x 8x and 16x all three dont work with PSXLauncher or the
uLE swap trick. The PSXLauncher does work if I put in a different game then the original that was in there to start with. On the 4x and
16x copies I only get a black screen, and the 8x copy gets the sound and logo and stops there, disk always spins on them all but they all
freeze. I dont want to keep wasting disks as atm I only have a few CDs.

I have already looked into DVDs, using ESR. And know they dont work so Im not asking about that. I have also tried (and didnt like doing)
the swap method where you just pull the disk out and swap at the logo, and it didnt work ether.

My ps2 is a black slim dated A7.

Ill give any other info if needed. Any help? Ideas? Etc?

    Thanks, Zag.

(It occurs to my that this might not be quite the right section, it seemed like the place at the time but now Im second guessing it,

im not an expert with PS1 games on the PS2 but with what program did you rip the game? and with what program did you burn them?

some PS1 games have sub chanel data that needs to be there. dlanor suggested that clone cd was the best for this.

To be quite honest I didn't rip this one, I grabbed it online, I used to own it but some f'tard broke into
my house about 11 years ago and stole my original PlayStation and all my games, so ya. And to burn
it I did it using PowerISO (I know I know, better on this, its not the best) But at the time, on the PC I
had it was what was there and have used it for PS2 games without much problem.

The images were bin/cue files, and I did run it on ePSXe to test it and it did work as far as I could tell.
So I suppose it has to be somewhere in my burning method.

    (Thanks a lot for replying)

So an update, and probably a closing of this topic here.

I finally went out and got an thing of 50 CDs, and suddenly it seems to be working ok,
I guess it just didn't like that other batch of cds, there the same kind, Verbatim CD-Rs.
I changed nothing else as far as how Im loading them or anything. But whatever, its
    working now.

Thanks spud42 for trying to assist.
