games via LAN? is it possible?
I think that playing games through LAN is possible and much better than playing them through USBAdvance.
The only reason given so far was that LAN connection is too slow.
Im saying, that its not too slow to play games with perfect movies and quite decent loading speed.
Why Im saying this? Because running VOB files (DVD video files) through LAN works great. No slowdows (contraily to loading them from USB, witch is much slower).
If DVD VOB files working good, games cinematics schouldnt have any problems, and as we know, the most painfull USBA issue is that cinematics have slowdowns, cant be displayed, or skipps (low games compatibilty is USBA problem itself).
Maybe its possible to force HDL to read games through LAN?
Something like reading HDL games partitions directly from FTP created on PC (FTP like PS2 Client Loader).
Is it hard to make (just wondering)?
It would be GREAT for everyone with Slim consoles. No need of soldering IDE cable, and compatible with ALL slims :)
Just think about it...
