Game Swap Trick uLauncher problem

I'm attempting a Gameswap method of getting FMCB onto a memory card. I've made a backup of my NFSU2 disc and followed the directions to replace the NTGUI.ELF file however when i go to online it fails back to the Please insert PS or PS2 Disc screen.

its a 79002 slim with date code 7D.

EDIT**: Forgot to mention tried both DVD-R and DVD +R. -R Disc makes the system choppy while +R disc works like the original.

Stranger still, i can swap the discs and still play the backup no problems.

than the game wont work for your choice....

I think its lucky to manage the swap-trick-method with one of the "compatible" games....

The only that working 99% is "007-AuF"....
