game swap trick installation help
game swap trick installation help –

Hi, I'm new to... well soft modding altogether.
I have a psTwo (SCPH-70003) but got an AR Max(non-evo... how unlucky is that) which won't work for my psTwo. I do have a game called Summoner. I've been reading about game swap and was wondering if the PAL version of this game is able to get me closer to install Free MC Boot.
Thank You in Advance

You can try your PS2 games with this guide:
http://freemcboot.info/swap.php
Its a basic guide to try using a PS2 game as a swap disc to load uLaunchELF, which can run FMCB's Installer from a USB device, but its a "trial & error" on games not confirmed as working.
Just follow the steps , subsituting elfs of the game you have and you have to figure out where to swap at according to the ELF you replaced in the game files.
PS2 Consoles:
SCPH-30001 [V4] - unmodded (2)
SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE
SCPH-50001-N [V9] CC 2.0 SLE
SCPH-79001 [V16] Silver - unmodded

Could you please write out the actual names of them instead of using acronyms?

Most games do not use multiple ELF files, and single-game demo discs can not be expected to use them either.
That is why there are special threads for the few games that can be used this way.
Probably a lot more could be used too, but not until someone finds out which they are and how best to use them.
Best regards: dlanor
